David Gaider Calls for Dragon Age Origins Remake

Petition Gathers Over 30,000 Signatures

Dragon Age writer David Gaider has called for a remaster of 2009's Dragon Age: Origins, sparking a petition that has garnered over 30,000 signatures. Gaider expressed his belief that Origins deserves a PS5-era remake, but acknowledged that publisher EA would likely only consider such a project if it were confident in its financial success.

The petition, hosted on Change.org, states that Origins "deserves a next-gen remaster to bring it up to the graphical and gameplay standards of modern RPGs." It further argues that a remake would "allow new players to experience the incredible story and characters of the original game, while giving long-time fans a chance to revisit it in a whole new way."

While EA has not yet commented on the petition, it is unlikely that a remake of Origins is a priority for the company. The studio is currently preoccupied with the development of Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, the next mainline entry in the series.
